My mixture didn't look much different after 24 hours. Just a little darker brown on the top.
It didn't rise at all either, but that's okay. There isn't much change to be expected on Day 2.
The next step is to scrape the mixture out in to a bowl. Remember to use a wooden spoon or silicone spatula only! No metal.
Make sure it's a big enough bowl, because you will be adding 1 cup unbleached all purpose flour, and 1/2 cup room temperature pineapple juice.
Mix until its's well combined.
Then place it back in your jar, and mark it the height with a rubber band.
As you can see, I decided to change the cover on my jar. This is actually 2 pieces of shiny tulle from my fabric stash.
